Environmentally Friendly Sealers

At Concrete Colour Systems we aim to continually consider and be informed by the environment.

From the use of renewable energy sources at our manufacturing facility to the recycling of raw materials within our production processes and the development of environmentally friendly concrete sealers, we are committed to environmental sustainability.

Included in our range of concrete sealers are five low VOC (volatile organic compounds) sealers suitable for streetscapes, commercial, residential and industrial projects.

These are:-

• CCS Streetscape Sealer (penetrating sealer)
• CCS Decrathane Satin (urethane sealer)
• CCS Decrathane Semi-gloss (urethane sealer)
• CCS Hydro-prime (water based epoxy coating)
• CCS Densifier (water based penetrating hardener and dust proofer)

 

Note:- All of the above CCS Concrete Sealers are manufactured in accordance with the VOC ratings as outlined in the Australian Ecolabel Program, Australian Voluntary Environmental Labelling Standard. 

Why Use Low VOC (Low Volatile Organic Compounds) Sealers?

There is a current trend for architects and other specifiers to utilise more environmentally and applicator friendly coatings. Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) sealers and coatings have a low odour and are ideal for densely populated and sensitive environments such as schools, hospitals, and certain commercial areas.  Low VOC sealers and coatings also emit less vapours into the atmosphere and are therefore better for the environment.

It is important to consider the type of concrete sealer required for the project at the initial stages of planning and placement of concrete.  Thought also needs to be given to the maintenance schedule required.  All CCS Sealers are high performance, hard wearing products which offer superior protection to any decorative concrete project.
