CCS Style Pave Concrete Resurfacing System

StoryBridgeHotelTexture and Application

CCS Stylepave Resurfacing can be applied using slightly different methods and viscosities to produce a:

  1. 'grainy' anti-slip finish
  2. sleek and smooth finish
  3. 'knock down' smooth and textured combination finish.

N.B. Where anti-slip properties are important, specify the sandy or grainy type of finish.

The rate of application depends on the service conditions which the floor will be exposed to.

Recommended Rates

Domestic driveways, paths and car parks with vehicular traffic less than 3 tonnes 3kg per sq. metre
Busy shopping footpaths and malls with heavy pedestrian traffic. 4kg per sq. metre

Suggested Specification

Dirty or soiled concrete should be pressure washed and treated with a degreaser to remove oil or grease. Any cracks must be repaired with suitable crack filler such as the CCS Epoxy Repair Kit. Clean concrete surfaces should be primed with a diluted coat of CCS Super Polymer 2000 at the rate of one part super polymer to three parts water.

Base Coat:

CCS ( nominate natural or colour eg. CCS Sandstone ) ______ Resurfacing Compound should be mixed with CCS Super Polymer 2000 at the ratio of 2.5 litres of polymer to one 20kg bag plus up to 2.5 litres of water. This should then be applied to the surface with a squeegee or hopper gun. Where a pattern is required, apply either a pre-cut stencil or create the design by adhering fibre tape to the dry base coat.

Top Coat:

Mix CCS ( nominate colour eg. CCS Almond ) ______ Resurfacing Compound with CCS Super Polymer 2000 at the ratio of one 20kg bag plus up to 2.5 litres of water. Apply to the base coat using a hopper gun.

Speckled and Contrasting Colours:

To create a multi-coloured effect, apply CCS (nominate colour eg. CCS Black) ______ Resurfacing Compound over the top coat in an ad hoc manner to achieve 15% coverage.

Sealing:

When the surface is cool and dry, apply two coats of CCS Hardseal or the extremely durable CCS Armourseal at the rate of one litre per 6-8 sq. metres per coat.
