Pattern Stamped Concrete

Specifications

Texture

Pattern (stamped) Concrete provides a relatively smooth finish depending on the stamping mould or roller used.

Application

It is critical that sufficient quantities of CCS Colour Hardener are applied to the concrete to ensure a durable finish is achieved.
The correct ratio of CCS Colour Hardener depends on the service conditions the floor will be exposed to. Recommended application rates are:-

Domestic driveways, paths and car parks with vehicular traffic less than 3 tonnes. 2-2.8kg of Colour Hardener per m 2 (7-10m 2 per 20kg bag).
Public roadways and industrial hard stands. 3.3kg of Colour Hardener per m 2 (6m 2 per 20kg bag).
Busy shopping footpaths and malls with heavy pedestrian traffic. 4kg of Colour Hardener per m 2 (5m 2 per 20kg bag).

Suggested Specification for Pattern (Stamped) Concrete

Option 1 - Using CCS Colour Hardener to create base colour:

  1. The concrete should be coloured with CCS (nominate colour) ______ Colour Hardener at a rate of one 20kg bag per 7 to 10 square metres.

  2. CCS (nominate colour) ______ Release Agent should be applied to all concrete surfaces to be imprinted with (nominate design) ______ Textured Mat or Roller.

  3. After 3 days, wash off excess release agent.

  4. Once dry, the slab should be sealed with 2 coats of CCS Hardseal acrylic sealer.

Option 2 - Using CCS Pigment Concentrates to create base colour:

  1. Concrete is to be integrally coloured with CCS (nominate colour eg. CCS Onyx) ______ Pigment Concentrate as manufactured by Concrete Colour Systems (refer to contact details at bottom of page). One pre-formulated bag should be added per one cubic metre of (nominate strength) ______ MPa concrete containing (i.e. "grey" or "off white") ______ cement.

  2. CCS (nominate colour) ______ Release Agent should be applied to all concrete surfaces to be imprinted with (nominate design) ______ Textured Mat.

  3. After 3 days, wash off excess release agent.

  4. Once dry, the slab should be sealed with 2 coats of CCS Hardseal acrylic sealer.
