Stencil Pave Concrete
Specifications
Texture
-
Each CCS Stencil Pave design can be created with a smooth trowel, broom, sponge or wood grain trowel finish.
- An appealing two-tone, subtly textured finish can also be achieved by rolling CCS Release Agents into the surface with a CCS Textured Roller following initial application of CCS Colour Hardener.
Application
The correct ratio of CCS Colour Hardener depends on the service conditions the floor will be exposed to. Recommended application rates are:-
| Domestic driveways, paths and car parks with vehicular traffic less than 3 tonnes. | 2-2.8kg of Colour Hardener per m2 (7-10m2 per 20kg bag). |
| Public roadways and industrial hard stands. | 3.3kg of Colour Hardener per m2 (6m2 per 20kg bag). |
| Busy shopping footpaths and malls with heavy pedestrian traffic. | 4kg of Colour Hardener per m2 (5m2 per 20kg bag). |
Suggested specification
Option 1 - Surface colouring technique for new concrete:-
-
CCS ______ stencil (nominate stencil design eg. Tile 270mm) and CCS ______ stencil (nominate border design eg. Soldier Course Brick) as manufactured by Concrete Colour Systems are to be used to create a pattern (refer to contact details at bottom of page).
-
Concrete is to be coloured with CCS ______ (nominate colour eg. CCS Camel) Colour Hardener by applying it to the surface at a rate of no less than one 20kg bag per ______ m2(refer to application rate recommendation and select 5, 6 or 8m2).
-
Once dry, the concrete should be sealed with a minimum of two coats of CCS Hardseal acrylic sealer.
Option 2 - Multi-colouring technique with a subtle surface texture for new concrete:-
-
CCS ______ stencil (nominate stencil design eg. Tile 270mm) and CCS ______ stencil (nominate border design eg. Soldier Course Brick) as manufactured by Concrete Colour Systems are to be used to create a pattern (refer to contact details at bottom of page).
-
Concrete is to be coloured with CCS (nominate colour eg. CCS Camel) ______ Colour Hardener by applying it to the surface at a rate of no less than one 20kg bag per ______ m2(refer to application rate recommendation and select 5, 6 or 8m2 ).
-
CCS (nominate Release Agent colour eg. CCS Autumn Tan) ______ Release Agent should be applied to all concrete surfaces. Following application, roll the CCS Stone Textured Roller over the surface once or twice to embed the Release Agent.
